PDF2ID Professional Suite – FAQs

Here’s a small list of FAQs on PDF2Office. As more of you ask questions, this section will keep growing. Do send us any queries you may have.

Q-1) Is PDF2ID Professional available for purchase separately?
PDF2ID Professional, DecksMoveIn, PDF2Office and PDF2Assets are now all packaged into the PDF2ID Suite
Q-2) What does the PDF2ID Professional Suite contain?
It contains the following –

a. PDF2ID Professional plug-in for Adobe InDesign to convert PDF to editable InDesign
b. DecksMoveIn plug-in for Adobe InDesign to convert PowerPoint/Keynote/Canva/Google Slides to InDesign
c. PDF2Assets application for batch extracting images and graphics from PDF files.
d. PDF2Office application for batch converting PDF files to Word, PowerPoint and Excel type

Q-3) How do I uninstall the trial of PDF2ID Professional Suite?
On For macOS, search for everything that says PDF2ID, DecksMoveIn and PDF2Assets and simply trash the items and restart your machine. For Windows please use the Control Panel Add/Remove Program functionality.
Q-4) The Recosoft menu is not appearing and I cant see the PDF2ID or DecksMoveIn in InDesign.
Please make sure you dont have Pre-release/Beta versions of Adobe InDesign as this will only confuse the installer. You need to ensure the Beta/Pre-release versions of InDesign are uninstalled first.
Q-5) When trying to install on macOS I get an installer error and I can't install it.
There is a bug in the installer app on macOS but a simple solution exists. In the System Preferences (or System Settings)->Privacy and Security -> Full Disk Access you need add the installer.app to it. The installer app can be found in /System/Library/CoreServices.
Q-6) Do you upload files to the Web/Cloud to convert them?
All of our plug-ins and applications convert everything on your computer itself and none of your files are uploaded to the Web/Cloud for conversion. We value the privacy of your data/file contents.
